Disneyland is the first and only theme park designed and opened by Walt Disney himself. Walt Disney dreamed of a park that would be the ideal place where both adults and children could go together and have fun. Disney opened Disneyland in 1955 and since its inception The Park has hosted over 600 million visitors. Going to Disneyland can be considered a pilgrimage of sorts for people from all around the world.
Disneyland consists of eight themed 'lands' that occupy 85 acres. Full of live entertainment, Disney Themed rides, and much more to occupy the minds and hearts of children alive, Disneyland is a must see when visiting Los Angeles. Located in Anahiem, California just miles from Highway 5, Disneyland is easily accessibile, however, it is advised to book your visit early as the crowds are large, lodging in surrounding areas and tickets to visit The Park are quite expensive.
