El Pueblo de Los Angeles Historic Monument is the oldest section or historic district located at Los Angeles, established in 1781. Its twenty-seven historic buildings on 44 acres clustered around an old plaza range in architectural style and the world famous Olvera Street Mexican marketplace for enjoying. It is still an active museum that continues to fulfill its unique position as the historic and symbolic spirit of the city, reflecting the different cultures that contributed to its early history.

The plaza area was the center of Los Angeles’ community throughout the 19th century was designated a state historic monument in 1953 while and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.  Beautiful place surrounds with outdoor plaza, museums, historic buildings and a traditional Mexican marketplace for shopping and dining.
